I am interested in examining and documenting social issues through an art form. This process begins with the journalistic nature of interviewing people in order to capture their stories. Their unique perspective and insight becomes the source material I use to create a series of illustrations. These images, combined with the audio recordings of the interviews, take the form of time-based illustrations.

It is my intent to have a total of three time-based illustrations. These stories would ultimately be projected as an installation in a gallery space. The emotional weight of the narratives will inform the nature of the installation and how the projections are viewed. The projections will appear to be “suspended” in space, with what seems to be no real support or stability.
